Calling Around: Integrating External SIP Devices into LAD

The scenario: You already have a VoIP provider, VoIP telephone sets and a cell phone. And it all kind of works... but not that well. It seems like there should be a way to make it all work better.

Enter LAD. Just a few minutes of setup and everything is working just like before, with the same provider and same telephones, though now you have options to make it better. Put a third-party SIP application on your cell phone, and register it as an additional line on LAD. Now you can place calls to your VoIP telephone sets for free anywhere you have Internet access, with increased quality and more options. Set up an extension for your cell phone's SIP account on LAD and you can receive calls to your VoIP line(s) anywhere and seamlessly pass calls back and forth from VoIP telephone set to cell phone and back again, regardless of where you happen to be.

If traveling, at the airport you can use their high quality wi-fi to connect using the SIP application and call home for free, including from international destinations, with quality audio like you never left home.

Cost-savings and convenience

The scenario above is just one example of the immediate benefits and cost-savings offered by LAD's built-in SIP server and VoIP PBX. With the ability to connect and register hundreds of different SIP devices, such as VoIP telephone sets and SIP applications, and process up to a thousand simultaneous telephone calls, LAD is the solution for connecting with others for free with high quality audio and low latency.

With LAD you can create a private calling network utilizing VoIP telephone sets and SIP applications, whether connected locally or remotely, and chat with friends and family for free — and independent of the telcos — wherever the Internet is available.

As the graphic above illustrates, one LAD may combine disparate SIP-capable devices in multiple locations into one large private calling network. Whether the purpose is to conveniently call amongst themselves for free or to construct a seamless PBX spanning geographic locations, LAD offers versatility, features and convenience, making it great for business with multiple locations, telecommuters, hybrid work arrangements, extended families and international calling.
